The Hague climate proof

In a series of videos different initiators, such as developers, school management and residents, show their perspective of the climate challenges in the city.

Flooding, drought and heat. Climate change means that The Hague will have to deal with greater extremes in precipitation and temperatures and with an increase in sea level. We make the city climate-proof to prevent nuisance and damage and to create a pleasant and climate-proof living environment. We do so by designing streets in such a way that the risk of damage is limited. For example, the municipality provides options for storing water.  We do this together with the city, because 60% of the surface of the city is not owned by us.

In a series of videos different initiators, such as developers, school management and residents,  show their perspective of the challenges we face. They explain why their projects are not only for climate adaptation, but also for an attractive, fun city!
